In good condition. Set into the 18k gold mount is a jasperware disc depicting Marcus Curtius.

Marcus Curtius was a Roman Soldier who is said to have rode in full armour into a huge pit that opened in the Roman Forum in 362 BCE to appease the Gods by offering himself to Hades.

After he entered the pit closed. The site of this is said to be the Lacius Curtius in the Forum.
